The vacation house is a 2 bedroom 1 bath, a large living room with a fold out couch. Room to sleep 2 couples and 2 children. All linens are furnished. Enjoy 3 spacious decks, hot tub a wood burning stove and a classic upright piano. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a BBQ grill. You can creating any meal you should desire. |

The Monte Rio public beach is a 5 min walk from the cabin. During the
summer you can rent floats and umbrellas.If you get hungry you can get
something from the snack bar. Young children enjoy the roped off swim
area, while the older ones will want to rent a kayak or canoe for a journey
on the river. A walk down the street in the other direction will take
you to the secluded neighborhood beach. There you can relax and unwind,
read a book or take a swim in the Russian River. |

The house was built in 1942. Features all wood construction. Soft pine floors and knotty pine interior walls. The houses or cabins as they were called were built by San Franciscians and used for vacations. Most rode the trains to reach here. Downtown featured a 5 story hotel with a working elevator. Monte Rio was the major destination of that era and became known as Vacation Wonderland |
